# Overview

Standards is where you configure Rafflex features that can help you run your raffle business responsibly and support good practice for prize draw operators.

***

The **Standards** settings page is where you set up features that can help you run your raffle business responsibly. To find it:

1. Log in to your Rafflex admin panel.
2. Open **Settings** in the left-hand menu.
3. Click **Standards** in the list of settings pages.

These settings bring together tools for areas such as provably fair draws, age verification, account deletion, and behaviour interventions. They are the features Rafflex provides that you can use to help support the areas of good practice the voluntary code covers. They are available to you whether or not you have signed up to the code, and it is entirely your choice which of them you turn on.

### What is on the Standards page

The page is split into sections. Which ones you see depends on whether you have connected a TrueNorth account and whether behaviour interventions are switched on.

| Section | What it is for |
| --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **What is TrueNorth?** | A short explanation of TrueNorth, the verifiable random number generator service for your automated draws. Shown until your TrueNorth account is connected. |
| **TrueNorth Account** | The company and contact details used to create your TrueNorth account, plus the TrueNorth terms to agree to and a **Connect to TrueNorth** button. Shown until your account is connected. |
| **Connected** | Replaces the two sections above once TrueNorth is linked. It confirms the connection and shows the company and contact details on the account. |
| **Provably Fair Autodraws** | Lets your automated draws use TrueNorth so the results can be independently verified. Only shown once TrueNorth is connected. |
| **Age Verification** | **Require Date of Birth at Registration** and **Enforce Date of Birth for Existing Customers**. |
| **Account Deletion** | **Allow Account Deletion**, which lets customers permanently close their own account. |
| **Behaviour Interventions** | **Enable Behaviour Interventions**. Once it is switched on, this section also shows your activity limits and the **Admin Notification Email** field. |
| **Intervention Email** | The subject and wording of the email a customer receives when an intervention is triggered. Only shown once behaviour interventions are switched on. |
| **Intervention Page** | The heading and wording of the reality check page a customer sees. Only shown once behaviour interventions are switched on. |

When you have made your changes, click **Save Settings** at the bottom of the page. You will see a **Standards settings saved successfully** message.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Some related settings live elsewhere.** Safe playing, spending limits and the customer timeout are switched on from the **User Experience** settings page, not the Standards page. See [Safe Play Setting](/additional-settings/safe-play-setting.md).

### About the Voluntary Code

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has published the **Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators**. The code comes into effect on **20 May 2026**.

As the name suggests, the code is voluntary. It sets out good practice for operators who run prize draws and competitions, organised around three areas:

* **Player protections.** Looking after the people who enter your draws.
* **Transparency.** Being open about how draws work and how to win.
* **Accountability.** Reviewing your own practices and being open about the steps you take.

You can read the full code on the official government website:

{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**This is not legal advice.** Rafflex provides features that can help you support good practice, but this documentation does not tell you what you must do to comply with anything. The code is voluntary and open to interpretation. You are responsible for your own compliance. Please read the official code in full and take your own professional advice before relying on any feature described here.
