Overview

Standards is where you configure Rafflex features that can help you run your raffle business responsibly and support good practice for prize draw operators.

The Standards section is where you set up features that can help you run your raffle business responsibly. To find it, go to Settings, then open the Standards tab.

These settings group together tools for areas such as age verification, safe playing, account controls, provably fair draws, and clear information for players. They are the features Rafflex provides that you can use to help support the areas of good practice the voluntary code covers. They are available for you to use whether or not you have signed up to the code, and it is entirely your choice which of them you turn on.

About the Voluntary Code

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has published the Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators. The code comes into effect on 20 May 2026.

As the name suggests, the code is voluntary. It sets out good practice for operators who run prize draws and competitions, organised around three areas:

  • Player protections. Looking after the people who enter your draws.

  • Transparency. Being open about how draws work and how to win.

  • Accountability. Reviewing your own practices and being open about the steps you take.

You can read the full code on the official government website:

The pages below explain the Rafflex features that map to each of the three areas of the code, and how to set them up.

Player Protections

Age verification, safe playing, spending limits, timeouts, behaviour interventions, and account controls that can help you protect the people who enter your draws.

Transparency

Provably fair draws, odds information, winner display, free entry routes, and prize delivery settings that can help you be open about how your draws work.

Accountability

Reviewing your own practices, handling third parties such as affiliates, and publishing the steps you take.
