Once it is connected, you can send a marketing email about your competitions without leaving your admin panel. JustNotify builds the email for you using your branding and the competitions you pick, so all you need to write is a heading, a subject line and a short message. {% hint style="danger" %} **You need a JustNotify account first,** and it must be connected in your Marketing settings. If you have not done this yet, [sign up at justnotify.io](https://justnotify.io), then follow [Set Up Email Marketing](/marketing/sms-and-email/set-up-email-marketing.md) and choose **justnotify.io** as your provider. {% endhint %} {% embed url="" %} *** ### Who receives the email? Your email goes to your **JustNotify subscribers**. Once JustNotify is connected, Rafflex adds people to this list automatically whenever they opt in to your marketing on your site (for example by leaving the marketing box ticked at checkout). See [Marketing Consent and Unsubscribes](/marketing/sms-and-email/marketing-consent-and-unsubscribes.md) for every way customers can opt in. {% hint style="warning" %} **The email sends as soon as you click the button.** There is no preview or undo step in your admin panel, so check your wording carefully before you send. {% endhint %} *** ### Two ways to send You can send from inside a single competition, or pick several competitions from your list and feature them all in one email. Choose whichever suits you. {% tabs %} {% tab title="From one competition" %} Use this when you want to promote one competition, for example on the day it closes. 1. In your admin panel, click **Competitions** in the left-hand menu. 2. Click the competition you want to promote to open it. 3. At the top of the page, click the blue **Send Email** button (it has an envelope icon). Hover over it and you will see "Send a quick marketing email about this competition to your JustNotify subscribers." 4. A window called **Send JustNotify Email** opens. Fill in the fields described in [The email fields](#the-email-fields) below. 5. Click **Send Email**. {% endtab %} {% tab title="From your competitions list" %} Use this when you want to feature several competitions in the same email. 1. In your admin panel, click **Competitions** in the left-hand menu. 2. Tick the box at the start of each competition you want to include. 3. A **Bulk actions** button appears above the list. Click it. 4. Choose **Just notify**. 5. A window called **Just notify** opens. Fill in the fields described in [The email fields](#the-email-fields) below. 6. Click **Submit**. {% endtab %} {% endtabs %} {% hint style="info" %} **Cannot see the Send Email button or the Just notify option?** They only appear when **justnotify.io** is chosen as your **Email Marketing Provider** and your API key is saved. Check your settings by following [Set Up Email Marketing](/marketing/sms-and-email/set-up-email-marketing.md), then come back. {% endhint %} *** ### The email fields | Field | Required? | What it is for | | ------------ | --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Title** | Yes | The main heading inside your email. Up to 120 characters. For example "Last chance to win a Range Rover". | | **Subject** | Yes | The subject line customers see in their inbox. Up to 120 characters. Keep it short and clear so it is not cut off on phones. | | **Coupon** | No | A discount code to show in the email. Type it exactly as you created it. Rafflex does not check the code for you, so make sure it exists and is active first. See [Promos and Discounts](/marketing/website-tools/promos-and-discounts.md). | | **Subtitle** | No | The main body text of your email. You can press Enter to start a new line, and your line breaks are kept. | JustNotify adds the rest of the email for you, including: * Your **Site Name** and your logo. If you have uploaded an **Email Logo Override**, that logo is used. Otherwise your main site logo is used. See [Add Your Logo](/customise-your-site/add-your-logo.md). * The competitions you chose, with links back to your site. {% hint style="success" %} **Tips for a great email** * Lead with urgency or the prize in the **Subject**, for example "Ends tonight: £10,000 tax free". * Use the **Title** for the big headline and the **Subtitle** for one or two short sentences of detail. * Adding a **Coupon** is a great way to reward your subscribers and measure how well the email worked. {% endhint %} *** ### Choose competitions that are open Only feature competitions that customers can enter right now. {% hint style="warning" %} **Scheduled competitions block the send.** If any competition you selected is [scheduled](/create-your-first-raffle/create-a-competition/schedule-a-competition.md) and has not reached its start date yet, nothing is sent. Instead, a red message appears titled **Not sent — scheduled competitions selected**, naming the competitions that have not opened yet. Remove them (or untick them on your list) and try again, or wait until they go live. This applies to both the **Send Email** button and the **Just notify** bulk action. {% endhint %} It is also best to avoid competitions that have sold out or ended, and [hidden VIP competitions](/create-your-first-raffle/hidden-vip-competitions.md). These are not on general sale, so they may not appear in the email, and you would not want to send your subscribers to a competition they cannot enter. *** ### What you will see after sending | Message | What it means | What to do | | ---------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Success** (green) | JustNotify accepted your email and is sending it. The message underneath comes from JustNotify. | Nothing more to do. | | **Not sent — scheduled competitions selected** (red) | One or more of the competitions has not opened yet. Nothing was sent. | Remove the named competitions and try again. | | **JustNotify Upgrade Required** (red) | Your JustNotify plan does not cover the number of subscribers you now have. The message confirms "Your email campaign has not yet been sent." | Click **Go to JustNotify** and upgrade your plan (see below), then send again. | | **Failed** (red) | Something went wrong. The message underneath explains why, or says "Something has gone wrong. Check fields and try again." | Check your fields and try again. If it keeps failing, check your API key, then contact support. | #### Upgrading your JustNotify plan If you see **JustNotify Upgrade Required**, your list has outgrown your plan. That is good news. To upgrade: 1. Click **Go to JustNotify** in the message (or visit justnotify.io). 2. Log in to your account. 3. Click **Campaigns** for the domain you need to upgrade. 4. Click **Change Plan**. 5. Select a plan that covers your subscriber count. 6. Come back to your admin panel and send the email again. {% hint style="info" %} **How many emails can I send?** Your JustNotify plan sets how many subscribers you can email and how often you can send. If you are not sure what your plan includes, check it on justnotify.io or contact JustNotify. {% endhint %}
