# Checklist

A step by step checklist to work through before you open your raffle site to the public, from live payments to tidying away test competitions.

You are nearly there. Work through this list before you launch, ticking each item off as you go. Every item links to a guide if you need a hand.

Take your time. A missed step here, such as leaving payments in test mode or a test competition on your homepage, can cause problems on launch day.

### Launching Your Website Checklist

#### 1. Payments

* [ ] Your Cashflows merchant account has been approved. See [Payment Gateway](/getting-started/payment-gateway.md).
* [ ] Add your **LIVE** **Cashflows Config ID** and **Cashflows API Key**. In the admin panel, go to **Settings**, then **Payments**, and find the **Cashflows Configuration** section.
* [ ] Switch **Cashflows Live Payments** on, then click **Save Settings**.
* [ ] Check the **Payment Gateways** tick boxes on the same page. For most sites, **Cards, Apple & Google Pay**, **Wallet** and **Partial Wallet + Card** should all be ticked.
* [ ] Check your **Currency** is correct in **Settings**, then **Checkout**, in the **Payment Methods** section.

#### 2. Your Site

* [ ] Set your **Site Email** to an address on your own domain. See [Email Setup](/essential-settings/email-setup.md).
* [ ] Upload your logo and choose your colours. See [Add Your Logo](/customise-your-site/add-your-logo.md) and [Choose Site Colours](/customise-your-site/choose-site-colours.md).
* [ ] Add your **Terms & Conditions** and **Privacy Policy**. See [Add Terms & Conditions](/essential-settings/add-terms-and-conditions.md).
* [ ] Check your SEO defaults, such as the **SEO Default Description** and **SEO Default Image** in **Settings**, then **SEO**. See [SEO Settings](/marketing/website-tools/seo-settings.md).
* [ ] Double check all links to your [socials](/essential-settings/connect-your-social-accounts.md) and make sure your about section is accurate.

#### 3. Your Competitions

* [ ] Add your first live [competitions](/create-your-first-raffle/create-a-competition.md) that will be drawn, and make sure each one is switched to **Active**.
* [ ] Check each competition's price, prize, end date and maximum number of tickets are correct.

#### 4. Test Everything

* [ ] Place one real, low value order on an inactive **TEST** competition, using your own card. Make sure the yellow **Card Payment Testing ENABLED** banner has gone from the checkout. See [Test and Live Card Payments](/getting-started/payment-gateway/test-and-live-card-payments.md).
* [ ] Make sure checkout works with your live details. If it does not, double check your **Cashflows Config ID** and **Cashflows API Key** for typos or extra spaces.
* [ ] Check that the order confirmation [email](/essential-settings/email-setup.md) arrives as expected.
* [ ] Cancel your test order. Open it in **Orders** and click **Cancel Order**, then refund the payment in your Cashflows dashboard. See [Cancelling and Refunding Orders](/essential-settings/wallet-and-withdrawals/cancelling-and-refunding-orders.md).

#### 5. Final Tidy Up

* [ ] Delete any test competitions, or make sure they are inactive. In the admin panel, open **Competitions** and use **Delete** on each test competition. See [Managing Your Competitions](/create-your-first-raffle/managing-competitions.md).
* [ ] Remove your **Site Password** if you have set one, so the public can see your site. In the admin panel, go to **Settings**, then **User Experience**. In the **Profile Settings** section, clear the **Site Password** box and click **Save Settings**. See [Hide Your Site Before Launch](/getting-started/hide-your-site-before-launch.md).
* [ ] Visit your site in a private or incognito browser window, so you see it exactly as a new customer would.

**Still seeing the testing banner?** If the checkout still says **Card Payment Testing ENABLED. Real Money not taken.**, your site is in test mode and no real money is being taken. Go back to **Settings**, then **Payments**, and make sure **Cashflows Live Payments** is switched on and saved.
