1️⃣Buy Your Domain

So you've made the decision to launch a competition site on RaffleX. Follow the steps in this guide to get your first raffle live within a week.

When you sign up for RaffleX, you have two options:

• Use a temporary domain (e.g., yourrafflesite.rafflex.uk) – RaffleX sets this up for you automatically and don't worry, this can be changed later.

• Use your own domain – If you already own a domain, or want to purchase one before signing up.

If You Haven't Bought a Domain Yet

Whether you buy your domain from Cloudflare or not, you will have to sign up for Cloudflare (it's free) and go through additional set up steps to ensure your RaffleX site is secure.

We recommend starting with a temporary domain regardless of where you buy your domain from. It gets you straight to your site editor without any need to configure DNS records.

How to buy a domain on Cloudflare

1. Go to Cloudflare.
2. Search for the domain name you want.

3. Select your domain and complete the purchase.

4. You’ll get a confirmation email. Click the link to verify ownership.

Connect Your Domain to RaffleX

Note this is only if you have not already selected your domain option on RaffleX (i.e. temporary or existing).

1. Sign up for RaffleX and choose to add Your Domain Name.

2. Enter your domain name.

3. You’ll be redirected to a page with DNS records which are to be added to Cloudflare.

4. Follow the DNS setup guide to complete the process.
