# Public Instant Winners List

Switch on a public Instant Winners page that shows customers who has won an instant prize in the last 30 days. It is a simple way to build trust and show that real people are winning.

Rafflex can give your site a dedicated **Instant Winners** page. It lists the [instant prizes](/create-your-first-raffle/add-instant-wins.md) your customers have won over the last 30 days, newest first. New wins appear on it automatically, so there is nothing for you to keep up to date. Customers find it through an **Instant Winners** link in your site header.

It is a great piece of social proof. New visitors can see that real people are winning, and your regular players can see their own wins celebrated.

### Switch on the Instant Winners page

Both settings for this page live together in the **Winner Display** section of your General settings.

#### Open your General settings

1. Log in to your **admin panel**.
2. In the left-hand menu, find the **Content** group and click **Settings**.
3. In the Settings side menu, click **General**. The page heading reads **General Settings**.

#### Find the Winner Display section

Scroll down until you reach the section called **Winner Display**. It holds two settings: **Enable Instant Winner List** and **Minimum Site Credit Shown On Instant Winner List**.

#### Turn on the list

Tick **Enable Instant Winner List**. The note underneath reads "Show a public list of instant win winners on the homepage. Make sure to set a filter below to avoid showing every small prize won".

Despite the wording, the list appears on its own **Instant Winners** page rather than on your homepage. See [Your homepage is separate](#your-homepage-is-separate) below.

#### Choose a minimum prize value (recommended)

In **Minimum Site Credit Shown On Instant Winner List**, type the value a [site credit](/additional-settings/site-credit-and-wallets.md) prize must beat to appear on the list. For example, type **5** to hide all the small credit wins of £5 and under.

Leave it empty (or type **0**) to show every instant win. See [How the minimum value works](#how-the-minimum-value-works) for the details.

#### Save

Click **Save Settings** at the bottom of the page. You will see the message **General settings saved successfully**.

### Check your live site

As soon as you save, two things change on your site:

* An **Instant Winners** link appears in your site header, and in the mobile menu customers open on their phones.
* The **Instant Winners** page goes live. It is at your site address followed by **/instant-winners**, for example `yourwebsite.com/instant-winners`.

Open your site in a new browser tab and click **Instant Winners** to see it.

**No Instant Winners link in your header?** Some sites have a bespoke header designed by the Rafflex team. On those sites the link only appears if the header design includes it. Contact Rafflex support if you would like it added. The page itself still works at **/instant-winners** in the meantime. ### What customers see

The page opens with the heading **Latest Instant Winners!** and the line "All our latest lucky players who won instantly in the last 30 days! Could you be next?"

Below that is a list of wins. Each one shows:

* **The prize image**, or your site logo if that prize has no image.
* **Who won and what they won.** For a site credit prize this reads like "Sarah J won £25.00". If the credit cannot be withdrawn as cash, the words "in site credit!" are added so customers are clear about what was won. For any other prize it shows the prize name, for example "Sarah J won Apple AirPods!".
* **The competition** the win came from, in small text underneath.
* **How long ago** the win happened, for example "3 hours ago".

The list shows 25 wins at a time. Customers can use the arrows at the bottom of the list to move back through older wins.

#### Which wins are included

* Wins from the **last 30 days**, with the most recent at the top. Older wins drop off the list automatically.
* Wins from [hidden VIP competitions](/create-your-first-raffle/hidden-vip-competitions.md) are **never** shown, so private competitions stay private.
* Wins from a [scheduled competition](/create-your-first-raffle/create-a-competition/schedule-a-competition.md) that has not started yet are never shown. This keeps any test purchases you make before launch off the list.
* Wins from competitions you have deleted are not shown.
* Site credit wins that do not beat your **Minimum Site Credit Shown On Instant Winner List** value are left out.

Marking a prize as paid does not change its place on the list. Wins are always ordered by when they were won.

#### How winner names are shown

Names on this page follow your **Winners Name Display** setting, the same setting used for winner cards, the winners carousel on your homepage and the instant win ticket grids on competition pages. To change it:

1. In the **admin panel**, go to **Settings**, then click **User Experience** in the Settings side menu.
2. Find **Winners Name Display** and choose one of:
   * **Winner Not Displayed** (shows "Anonymous" instead of a name)
   * **First Name + Last Initial** (for example "Sarah J")
   * **Full Name**
   * **Display Name** (the name the customer chose in their account settings)
3. Click **Save Settings**.

If a winner's account has since been deleted, their win shows the name "Deleted".

**A good balance for most sites** is **First Name + Last Initial**. Customers can see a real person won, while the winner keeps a reasonable level of privacy.

### How the minimum value works

**Minimum Site Credit Shown On Instant Winner List** helps the page highlight your bigger wins, instead of filling up with lots of small credit prizes.

* **It only applies to site credit prizes.** Physical prizes and other non credit prizes always appear, whatever you set here.
* **A win must be worth more than the number you enter.** The note under the field says winners of prizes worth "this amount or more" will appear, but a prize worth exactly your minimum is left out. For example, with a minimum of **5**, a £5.00 credit win is hidden and a £5.50 credit win is shown. If you want £5.00 wins to appear, enter **4** instead (wins above £4.00, such as £4.50, will then appear too).
* **Use whole numbers.** The list works in whole pounds (or your own currency), so any pence you type are ignored. A minimum of 4.99 behaves the same as 4.
* **Empty or 0 shows everything.** Every site credit win in the last 30 days appears.

**Lots of small prizes?** If your competitions have hundreds of small credit wins, leaving the minimum empty can push your exciting prizes off the first page within hours. Set a minimum so your best wins stay visible for longer.

### Your homepage is separate

Switching this setting on does **not** add anything to your homepage. If you want recent instant winners on your homepage too, add the **Instant Winners Carousel** block to it in the page builder. The carousel is a separate block with its own options, and it works whether or not the Instant Winners page is switched on.

### Turning the page off

To remove the page, go back to **Settings**, then **General**, untick **Enable Instant Winner List** and click **Save Settings**.

The **Instant Winners** link disappears from your header and phone menu straight away. Anyone who visits the **/instant-winners** address, for example from an old bookmark or social media post, will see a page not found message instead. Your instant winners are not affected in any way, and you can still see and manage every win in your admin panel.
